Out of Stock

The Franklin Motor is a 4" (100 mm) encapsulated submersible motor from Franklin Electric — water-filled, water-lubricated bearings for maintenance-free life, hermetically sealed stator, IP68, insulation class F.

Sold separately from the pump end — couples to a matching 4" wet end to form a complete borehole pump set.

How to choose

Match the power (kW) to the wet end you're pairing it with (see that pump's spec table), and pick the voltage that matches your power supply:

Power Voltage Notes
0.37 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
0.55 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
0.75 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
1.1 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
1.5 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
2.2 kW 230V single-phase — needs a control box
0.37 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
0.55 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
0.75 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
1.1 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
1.5 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
2.2 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
3.0 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
3.75 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
4.0 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
5.6 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed
7.5 kW 380V three-phase — direct-on-line, no control box needed

Single-phase (230V) motors need a matching control box (sold separately) for starting and overload protection. Three-phase (380V) motors run direct-on-line.

Frequently Asked Questions

How deep can this pump be installed?

Check the Max Head figure for the model you choose. That is the maximum height the pump can lift water, including the depth it sits at plus the rise to your tank.

Do I need a control box?

Most borehole pumps need a matching control box or starter. Ask our team if you are unsure which one suits your pump.

What is the delivery time?

Stocked items ship same or next business day. Larger pumps are often special order, so get in touch for a lead time.
